WPF’s funding comes from a limited number of large donors such as the Dutch government, the Dutch Postcode Lottery (since 2002) and private American foundations. WPF is also aiming to acquire at least 50% of its funds from sources within the EU.
Furthermore WPF can count on a relatively small but loyal group of private donors.

Since 2000 WPF has held the CBF quality hallmark (Central Bureau for Fundraising) and at the end of 2005 notification was received that the hallmark will be extended up to and including 2010.
