Governance
World Population Foundation (WPF) is a Dutch not for profit organisation. Executive director is Frans Baneke.
The main office is in Utrecht (The Netherlands). WPF has field offices in Islamabad (Pakistan), Hanoi (Vietnam) and in Jakarta (Indonesia).
The head office in Utrecht, the Netherlands has four departments (Advocacy, Communications and Fundraising, Finance/Administration, and Projects).
WPF's board exists of ten members and Joris Voorhoeve is chairman of the board. The members are appointed in a personal capacity and they come from organisations like universities, development cooperation and business in the Netherlands and abroad.
The foundation’s board supervises the realisation of the appointed policy and the execution of the decisions taken by the executive director. It specifies the policy plans, such as the multi-year plan, the annual plan and the budget.
The annual account is audited by a reputable company of chartered accountants.
WPF carries the Dutch quality hallmark CBF for fundraising, non-profit organisations.
Furthermore, WPF has the Consultative Status with ECOSOC (one of the main bodies of the United Nations), which enables WPF to observe international UN meetings and give input at these meetings.
