Uganda

In Uganda WPF has several projects, all on sexuality education. For three main target groups.

• In and out of school youth;
• perinatally with HIV/AIDS infected young people;
• Children in primary schools (ages approx. 9-14);

Young people will delay sex sooner and make conscious decisions if they receive comprehensive information on sexuality and having children. They also learn the skills they need on how to negotiate whether to have sex or not; on condom use and other contracteption. That way they are equiped to protect themselves against unwanted pregnancy and STDs, including HIV/AIDS.

Apart from this, WPF works together with organisations in:

• SHAREFRAME;
• UNESEM.
